Hello my name is Michael and my callsign, G4XIX, is a UK Class A amateur radio licence held since 1984.Prior to this I held Class B callsign G6VQA.
Over the years I have logged many hundreds of contacts and met a great number of interesting like-minded operators. The thrill of making a contact across the bands has never diminished. If you are reading this because we have been in QSO, welcome, and thank you for looking me up.

Technical focus
It will become obvious my focus is radio related construction, repair, and operating. I have constructed transceivers, RF amplifiers, filters, antennas, control and test equipment. some very successful, some less so. Home brew radio and QRP are two areas that for me are a good fit, it makes amateur radio very affordable.Current Focus
